How is this different from Dropbox or iCloud?

End-to-end encryption is the big one — Dropbox and iCloud can read your files (and have, when subpoenaed). Here, files are encrypted on your device before upload, with keys only you hold. We physically can't read them. You also get cross-platform native apps (not just the OS your phone is from), team folders, and a flat per-GB price without the upsells.

What happens if I forget my password?

Because of end-to-end encryption, we can't reset it for you (that's the trade-off — if we could, so could anyone who breaks in). When you sign up you get a recovery key — save it somewhere safe (password manager, printed copy). With the recovery key you can always get back in.

Can I share files with people who don't have an account?

Yes. Generate a share link for any file or folder. The recipient just clicks the link — no account needed. You can require a password, set an expiry date, limit downloads, or revoke the link anytime.

Does it work offline?

Yes. The desktop and mobile apps cache files locally. You can browse, edit, and create files offline; everything syncs back to the cloud (and across your other devices) the next time you're online.

How does auto photo backup work?

Install the iPhone or Android app, log in, enable photo backup. The app automatically uploads new photos and videos in the background — even when the app is closed. Once they're backed up, you can free up phone storage.

Can I get back a file I deleted?

Yes — deleted files go to a trash bin you can restore from for 30 days. Past that, version history keeps the last 30 days of edits to existing files. So if you overwrote a contract last Tuesday, you can roll back the version with two clicks.

Can I upgrade my plan later?

Anytime. Bump up to a bigger size and the change takes effect immediately — your existing files stay put, you just get more room. Downgrades work the same as long as you're under the smaller size.

Is there a file size limit?

No per-file limit. Upload a 50 GB video file if you want — the only limit is your total plan size. Large files use chunked, resumable uploads, so a dropped connection won't restart the whole thing.
